Consultancy and Audits
I offer meticulous inspection and evaluation of your current safeguarding policies and practices, which involves reviewing all relevant documentation, observing practices and assessing overall effectiveness. In order to tailor my services to your individual needs, I will distribute detailed questionnaires to key stakeholders which will help me gain a deeper understanding of your company’s needs and wants, and will enable me to provide customised solutions.
Once all information is gathered, I will provide a comprehensive written report that will detail my findings, including your organisation’s strengths, areas for improvement, staff understanding of safeguarding principles and any training recommendations. I can also assist with supporting your organisation with drafting and refining your safeguarding policies and risk assessments to ensure that they are comprehensive, clear, and compliant with the latest regulations.
Voice of the child Consultation
I place the voice of the child at the heart of my safeguarding efforts. Taking a child-centred approach, I will consult with the children and young people that you work with to ensure that their perspectives, experiences and needs are fully understood and integrated into your child safeguarding policies and practices. To do this, i will use age-appropriate and creative engagement techniques to create a safe and comfortable environment for children to express their views. The feedback gathered in these consultations will be incorporated into written reports, ensuring that your safeguarding measures are truly child-focussed and responsive to their needs.
Training programmes
I offer a range of comprehensive safeguarding training options to suit different needs and roles. From annual refresher courses designed to ensure ongoing compliance and keep safeguarding awareness up to date, to in-depth Level 3 training for those with specific safeguarding responsibilities, such as Designated Safeguarding Officers.
Additionally, I provide training focused on fostering a healthy work culture, which plays a crucial role in building a positive safeguarding environment. The aim is to create a workplace where the safety and well-being of everyone—staff and service users alike—are always a top priority.
Advice and Guidance Service:
Alongside the safeguarding audit, I also offer an ongoing advice and support package. This means you’ll have access to expert guidance whenever you need it—whether that’s answering questions, offering tailored recommendations, or helping you work through complex safeguarding situations.
I understand that being a Safeguarding Lead comes with real responsibility. It takes dedication, good judgment, and often, a lot of emotional resilience to keep young people safe. That’s why I also provide safeguarding supervision for staff—creating a supportive space where they can reflect on challenging cases, talk through concerns, and receive clear, professional advice.
These sessions are not just about problem-solving—they’re also about learning, sharing best practices, and building confidence in decision-making. They’re a key part of helping your team feel supported and empowered to handle safeguarding well.
Safeguarding Investigation:
When there are concerns about someone’s safety or wellbeing—especially a child, young person, or adult at risk—it’s important to act quickly, carefully, and with confidence. I provide a professional safeguarding investigation service that helps organisations respond in the right way when an issue is raised.
With full training and hands-on experience, I carry out thorough and fair investigations into safeguarding concerns. My role is to find out what has happened, whether anyone is at risk, and what steps need to be taken next. I do this with sensitivity, respect, and a clear focus on keeping people safe.
Whether you’re a school, charity, care provider, or any other organisation working with vulnerable people, I can help you fully understand the concern at hand and determine whether an investigation is necessary. Throughout the investigation, I will conduct interviews and gather all relevant information to ensure a thorough and accurate process.
